With a few exceptions good stocks are acting funny, 9 distribution days, laggards are becoming the leaders. Market as a whole is down on volume. Gains are coming painfully slow. The rally that IBD mentioned two days ago wasn't much of a rally (a rally with no volume?).  The only significant volume I have seen (above the 50 day line) for the past two weeks is on down days. As I am writing this the S&P 500 and the NASDAQ are still below their 50 day lines. There are a few positive economic signs out there but the market doesn't seem to be paying attention. Historically volume is always off in August.  Is this a summer lull  or are we in the early stages of correction? Any thoughts....anyone?
