Having just upgraded to OS Lion on my iMac I found that if I either click on the wrench tool or right click the screen goes blank and I need to restart the program. This happens every time. If anyone has found a work around it would be great to know. Having the screen go blank all the time somewhat lowers the value of the Marketsmith program.
This is related to a Silverlight Issue that the Apple OS encounters. The steps to remedy this are involved and we would suggest emailing our tech team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I have the same problem and tried all the re-installation tricks for Silverlight, none of them work. Tech support finally said they will need to certify the product on LION. Thankfully I have VMWARE for my MAC so I can fire up Windows 7 and use the tool there.

Same problem, different day! I even tried reinstalling Silverlight 4 again but every time I select the wrench tool the screen goes blank and I have to restart the program again. However, now the box of markups that allowed me to make annotations is missing and since I can't use the wrench tool I have no way to mark up my charts. Sure could use some help!
Correction. After another restart the box for markups is back so now all I need is to correct the problem with the blank screen.

I am really, really, frustrated with MarketSmith and the associated issues with SilverLight on my Mac.
It DOES NOT work consistently! Period!
I have uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled, reinstalled, until I am blue in the face. Nothing but a BIG EMPTY screen when I select Launch Now!
Please MarketSmith, for the love of all things sane, release a permanent fix already!!!!!!

@gmedved We are sorry to hear you are having trouble. The issues you are experiencing are not related to the Lion operating system. We are able to confirm we are fully compatible with that operating system. More likely, the issue is related to a corrupted version of Silverlight that is not being completely removed from your system during the reinstall.
