Best Returns! - The MarketSmith Team
I just started trying it out tonight. Good interface, but unbearably slow, as well as the whole site in general. But I'm not surprised. Silverlight is terrible.
Our development team has been working very diligently to provide the best investment research experience. With today’s site release we are proud to announce the following upgrades:
How about addressing the speed issue?? For me it is a deal breaker. Great application but why go back to dial up speeds??

its great when you click ( the right mouse button)on the weekly or daily chart to see the volume and price % changes, but the blue lines that appear are too thick and they cover the volume and price bar in a way that you cannot see it. The line needs to be thinner and black as in Dailygraphs. When you list groups by ranking it seems that some groups disapear, what I mean is that the system ranks groups like 1,2,3,5,8,12. I didnt see a way how i can create a screen and just type in or paste the Tickers of the stocks i want to include. What i had to do is type the symbol for each stock then add it to the list... thats a bit of a hastle. Also it will be a key to import Lists from Dailygraphs. Now i have to type in manually all my lists. The charts feel a bit cramped ( I am not sure if thats the word in English). I thought a bigger screen would solve the problem but it didnt. But slowly I am getting used to the look. Another important issue which i ve mentioned before in emails is that it will be great to have an EPS line together with the chart and RS line. And if this product works on the IPAD will be a great! Overall, fantastic, great applications, the info is easy to find and the additional features like you can see the sector, other groups in the sector, etc are amazing.
One more thing, when you go through industry groups and click on the top stocks in group you should be able to click on the ticker and see the chart of the stock.
I agree - Marketsmith site is way too slow. Silverlight is a Microsoft product that doesn't run smoothly on Macs (and I guess I'm own of these "weirdos" who uses a Mac. I find it funny that IBD advertises "Daily Graphs now available on Mac". Wow! How cutting edge - lol. I've been told for the past few years that "IBD does not have enough Mac users to justify the upgrades". Yet, when it comes to following APPLE stock - IBD is first in line to rate it strongly in the top 100. Sort of a contradiction? Very old school and archaic IT.
