Follow Through Strength during an uptrend
by gar.chan (765) Joined on 05/28/2010 Posts: 67

So IBD "The Big Picture" is calling this day one with FT charateristics.

However, the Distribution days remained unchanged (meaning not reset to zero).

Is that correct? I don't recall an uptrend with a subsequent FT day within it.

My rationale is that we can have another distribution day - which would make the NYSE count 7 which during normal markets very concerning.

Thoughts?

Thanks

I believe the reason IBD kept the distribution day counts is because the market never went into correction.  Let alone any period of time in correction.  The DD’s will drop off as they age or as they become irrelevant because the market has moved 5% above them.  Don
