Hey L, I went through this course several times before I started trading. Have also read all of his main books in addition. I also took his System Development course and spent quite a bit of time on his book: The Definitive Guide to Position Sizing. In fact, he use to teach a class on how to trade CAN SLIM etc and his favorable comments re: WON lead me full circle back to learn CAN SLIM before trying other systems. I think from what I've learned about you from this blog/forum arrangement and that I would say you have CAN SLIM down pat that you could find his stuff really interesting! It's incredibly detailed and it's hard to filter out the salesmanship sometimes from what you're trying to pull out of the material, but, as an experienced trader I think you will be able to do that. I would really like to know what you think of the Peak Performance Course when you get through it. It will probably leave you wanting to try some more of what IITM has to offer. Hope this is some help to you. Brad
Hey L, that book goes through every known method of position sizing - off the top of my head - I think it's like 70-80 and with all the twists you can do the number is almost limitless - as many as there are systems for trading...and as you'll soon hear time and time again by Tharp is "the key to meeting your objectives is through position sizing". But this statement is more valid for mechanical type systems (i.e. 20/40 ma crossovers, etc) and to a lesser extent in my mind to rules based systems such as WON and Linda Raschke etc. Anyway, I thought the book was well done and thorough and it will open your mind to automated systems via software programs etc. There was some miscalculations on some standard deviations in the book which they go over with a supplement that was a pain to look at but maybe they've cleaned that up in a later edition? Brad
The book is available off his website: IITM.com.
